The Art of Craftsmanship
Every UNÜTZER shoe is crafted in Italy, near Venice—a region where leather goods have been meticulously handcrafted in small ateliers for centuries, meeting the highest standards of quality and expertise. Since 1989, UNÜTZER has been vertically integrated with its own production facility in Veneto.
Our long-standing partnerships with carefully selected manufacturers guarantee the highest production standards, fair working conditions, and exceptional quality, all with a strong commitment to sustainability.
Perfecting an UNÜTZER ballerina requires more than 150 precise steps, along with continuous assembly and rigorous quality control.
To prevent overproduction, we manufacture our products in small batches, tailoring our collections to meet demand.

We collaborate with carefully selected partners whose values and standards align with our own.
The majority of our leather is a byproduct of the food industry and is sourced locally from specialized suppliers for each leather type. For example, fine Nappa leather comes from the Veneto region, while thicker Vitello leather is sourced from Tuscany. Most of the hides we use are chrome-free and, in some cases, vegetable-tanned.
